The color red sounds like emergency, blood and minus, so it’s not one of our favorite colors, and we wouldn’t recommend it to any brand. But for these four red things, we love to make an exception.

The escalator at the subway station was down. That meant climbing up what felt like endless flights of stairs. In front of me walked black elegant pumps with a red sole. After about 150 steps it was clear: I want these shoes.

In a legal battle that lasted many years, he even managed to obtain the patent rights for it.
