Exercise every day,
not only on the plane
We usually think about it during long flights at 13,000 metres – but we shouldn’t forget our veins
we should not forget about our veins in everyday life and exercise them every day.
Every day, they transport many thousands of litres of blood from the organs and limbs towards the heart. As a result of sitting or standing for hours, too much blood can build up in the leg veins and, in extreme cases, blood clots (thrombi) in the veins can be the consequence.
However, since we often sit or even stand for many hours every day, not only on long flights, it makes sense to integrate the following small exercises into our daily routine.
1. GYMNASTICS FOR THE TOES
– Lifting and lowering toes
– At least 2-3 times per hour
– Barefoot or in shoes
2. GYMNASTICS FOR THE FEET
– Alternate raising and lowering or circling the toes and heels.
– At least 2-3 times per hour
– With feet lifted or upright
