One of the best stores in the world: Labour & Wait. Craft
instead of disposable products
Products, behind which stands craftsmanship and which are dignified
altern is available in the London cult store Labour & Wait.
A small bastion against the tsunami of products that, barely bought,
have already become unusable again.
The two designers Rachel Wythe-Moran and Simon Watkins have perfectly realized their dream of a store with products that are functional and beautiful at the same time.
Products that perform their service well for years, combining craftsmanship and design at their best. The small store on Redchurch Street in North London invites you to add a practical and playful touch to your own household.
Every product there, no matter how practical, has a wonderful tactility at Labour & Wait, is made of durable materials, and is usually in an unexciting noble mix of colors.
The name of the store is taken from a poem by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow:
LET US, THEN, BE UP AND DOING,
WITH A HEART FOR ANY FATE;
STILL ACHIEVING, STILL PURSUING,
LEARN TO LABOR AND TO WAIT.
One of the best stores in the world.
