us is. However, dark green vegetables are especially important for the visual
power of the eyes of particular importance and there are far more than broccoli.

Dark green vegetables with leaves have a particularly high content of chlorophyll as well as the carotenoids zeaxanthin and lutein. This makes dark green vegetables favorites of ophthalmologists because lutein and zeaxanthin are found in the cells of the macula of the eye.

The supply helps to keep the percentage of pigments high and filter out the harmful rays of light. The more of these important cellular substances the macula of the eye has, the less likely it is to suffer from macular degeneration of the eye, which in many cases leads to blindness.
