The designer and owner of the fashion brand Coco Lores develops fashion for business women and advises managers in many banks, supervisory board members and young professionals. For all these women, sustainable fashion produced locally in Frankfurt am Main is important to succeed with flair and individuality in their everyday working lives.
With Quartier Frau, Olivia Dahlem has created the first Fair Fashion Room in Frankfurt, which stands for attitude, impact and thus female empowerment. The aim is to empower women and combine sustainable brands from the fashion and beauty sectors into an effective, individual business look in the showroom with atelier.

What is the best way for you to switch off?
When cooking… since I prefer to cook creatively rather than by recipe, I go by what’s there and try a lot. This requires all my concentration and I can switch off wonderfully after a busy day.
What was the last insight that changed your outlook on life?
That a good team is the key to success. Inspiration, discussions, taking a stance and dealing with each other fairly and transparently, these are the things that have shaped me a lot over the last few years. The creative collaboration with Hartmut H. Hölter laid the foundation for Quartier Frau and encouraged me to set up there larger and completely new with 8 other labels.
What talent is lying dormant in you?
With my aesthetic sense and experience, I can perfectly stage the assets of my counterpart … in fact, at the moment I find it more difficult digitally than 1 to 1 on location.
What do you always need to be reminded of?
Unfortunately, now to more things than before.
What made you happy this past week?
Spring – despite the difficult time right now, everything begins to bloom and unfold anew. A reassuring cycle that gives hope and makes me happy indeed.

To look and be inspired – rather a classic: the VOGUE

Which three cosmetic products would you take with you to a desert island?
Coconut oil, it goes for everything and always. Yves Saint Laurent Volume Effect Mascara. And Gretel KNUTZEN Lip Gloss, Apricot Shimmer
Which perfume do you like the most at the moment?
La vie est belle Lancôme
What should never be missing in your refrigerator?
Sweet, salty and something sparkling … you can always conjure up something with it.
What food has impressed you most recently?
The vegan creations of the star restaurant Seven Swans in Frankfurt, unbelievable what you can make from plants … and then everything from own cultivation, that really impressed me very much
What is your favorite sport?
I need to be able to work out and I’m madly missing my body workout class right now – a good mix of power, fitness and muscle building. I like to do sports in a group. For my soul, yoga and running are my favorite.
What sport do you do most often?
Right now I’m rowing and I bought a brilliant rowing machine for it…I hope to be able to swim again in the spring.
What is the last piece of clothing you bought to indulge yourself?
Indeed shoes …
You are allowed to choose where you want to live. Which place do you choose?
This is hard to answer right now because I have a very big wanderlust after a year of not really being away…I love to be inspired by places and the people and traditions. Let’s see where the journey goes next. In any case, the sea must be near.
